MICHAEL CLANCY

Michael Clancy was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in November 2022, the Maryland Bar in December 2023, and the United States District Court for the District Court of Maryland in July 2024. He earned his J.D. from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in May 2022, and holds a B.A. in Classics and European Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, which he obtained in May 2018.

During his time at law school, Michael excelled as the Managing Editor of the Catholic University Journal of Law and Technology and gained valuable experience as an intern at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. These opportunities allowed him to develop a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and the practical application of law.

Before joining Byrd & Byrd, LLC, Michael served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robin Gill Bright in the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. As a law clerk, he actively contributed to a diverse range of cases involving civil, family, criminal, and administrative law. Through this experience, he honed his analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex legal issues.

Outside of his legal career, Michael finds joy in taking leisurely walks with his dog, Ace, strength training, and watching football and baseball.
